Pictures!!!

I've been waiting to get pictures on here because we've not figured out a way, but we finally did. Here are their pictures! =)

This is a little hard to see, but there's one of the girls and the boy. You can tell the boy from all the others because of his adorable white paws!

This is their mama, JP, yeah, she's not exactly used to us yet. We only got a few pets, but she was a little overwhelmed with so many new people around her. She'll come around sometime!
This is one of the little girls. She must've been scared by something-her mouth's hanging open! =)
Here's the boy and a girl eating. Still working on getting the girls straight. Maybe it'll be easier as they grow up!
This is the same girl from when I was holding her in that other picture. She was looking over to JP saying, "Help me!" The girls weren't as friendly as the boy.
This is my favorite of all the pictures. It's the little boy, and he's super cute in this pic!

Proposal

To all of you who've decided to read this, I've proposed to the ARL of Marshalltown! I'm awaiting their response, but we're hoping they say yes. You'll find out by looking at the pages. There may be a new one of Marshalltown ARL Animals if they say yes!

Continue to cheer us on and comment below!

Kitten Project!

For EAGLE, the place where the Pet Project started, I'm going to be doing a little studying of kitten behavior. Originally I wanted to do it at the shelter since there are more different types of animals there, but that would take up a lot of time and next week I'll be receiving four kittens and their mother. I'll study how they react to me, my other cats, my family, and my friend, Hannah. I'd also to see what each individual is like and how the mother well, mothers. You can find updates and more details on the website below. Wish me luck!

Some Changes

You may have noticed that lately, not much has been happening to the blog-but revisiting it for yet another school project seems to be the best idea. As you noted before, I will be studying animal behavior for the project-but also creating a business proposal and changes to the company and website. To start-we now have a logo which will be shared soon-and I am creating a business proposal to the ARL of Marshalltown for the business side of it. Also, Hannah and I are planning to make pet beds for shelters and possibly to sell. If you want one-get commenting and maybe something can be arranged! Just let us help the poor animals!

Animal Studies

For a school project that we were told of Wednesday, we were told that we could do a project on whatever project we could dream and learn about. Well, for one of my topics I thought of dedicating 12 hours to work at the local humane societies and shelters. I can't wait to start. I'm hoping especially for TCHS and the Marshalltown Animal Rescue League. The animals are well cared-for and the volunteers really care and hope that they get a new home.

Love this idea? Kids 8 years and older can volunteer at almost any shelter or humane society with supervision form a parent or guardian and a signed paper. Kids over the age of 14 just need the paper signed and you're on your own when you turn 18. The ARL Marshalltown says that all you need is to pop by during their hours, have them sign or whatever pertains to your age, and start helping! It's really great and I hope I learn about how the animals feel in the shelter!

Summer Pets

Well, summer is almost here, and I'm looking into something to do with our nonprofit. I recently got a pattern for dog beds, but they can also work as cat beds. I think this would be great to sell and give to the humane societies and shelters to help the animals have a better experience in tough times. If you have an opinion about my idea, I'd love to hear it and also any other ideas that you think might work well. We just hope we can help the animals through the tough times!

Marshalltown Animal Rescue

This week, a church group in my area called Kids of the Word went to the Marshalltown Animal Rescue. This was my first meeting, although they'd made dog treats to give to the dogs. We were hoping my missing cat, Lady, would be there since I saw a picture in the paper of her. However, it was another male cat, which wasn't her. Although I was a little upset, they were all very cute and my friend, Sonnay, and I got to play with one named Niko. It was really fun, and so were all of the other cats and dogs. Sonnay and I also played with Ozzie, an old farm dog who loved to play fetch! And also Chunk, a big, old golden lab who was very sweet, although all of the animals were sweet.

All of the animals were so fun to play with, and I can't wait to go back. I'm hoping that somehow, The Pet Project can help the Animal Rescue, so we can work to help them and the animals.

Please, remember to support us and help all the animals around you! Remember that you may see them eating your food as a pest, but for them, it's survival. It's not their fault!
